Striking and bold, this distinguished mare has proven herself an essential member of our western performance team.
Talawat El Toya is a distinguished grey Egyptian Arabian mare bred by Green Gate Farm. She has earned the prestigious Legion of Masters, a testament to her exceptional performance in reining competitions. Her pedigree is rich with notable ancestors, contributing to her success and excellence in the sport.
Her sire, Ben Malik, foaled in 1989, comes from an illustrious lineage. His sire, Malik, was sired by Hadban Enzahi, a highly regarded stallion known for his contributions to Arabian horse breeding. Malik’s dam, Malikah, further enriches this lineage, ensuring that Ben Malik carried forward the traits of beauty, endurance, and intelligence.
Toya El Zahraa, Talawat El Toya’s dam, was bred by the Egyptian Agricultural Organization (EAO) at the El Zahraa Stud in Egypt, an institution renowned for preserving and advancing the Arabian breed. She was exported to Qatar, a reflection of her esteemed pedigree and international value. Toya El Zahraa’s sire, Gad Allah, foaled in 1983, was also a product of the EAO’s esteemed breeding program. Gad Allah’s sire, Adeeb, and dam, Nawal, both played significant roles in the development of Arabian horses in Egypt. On the dam’s side, Toya El Zahraa was out of Tee, who was sired by Adl and out of Bint Ibtisam, further strengthening the pedigree with proven bloodlines.
Talawat El Toya’s ancestry includes some of the most influential Arabian horses in history. Hadban Enzahi, a grey stallion foaled in 1952, was sired by Nazeer and out of Kamla. He was imported to Germany, where he significantly influenced the Arabian breed. Nazeer, born in 1934, is one of the most influential Arabian stallions of the 20th century, with his progeny leaving an indelible mark on Arabian horse breeding worldwide. Another key ancestor, Morafic, a grey stallion born in 1956 and also sired by Nazeer, became a cornerstone of the Gleannloch Farms breeding program in the United States, playing a crucial role in the development of modern Egyptian Arabians.
Talawat El Toya’s competitive record highlights her exceptional abilities. She has dominated various levels of reining competitions, consistently demonstrating her skill, discipline, and responsiveness. She has achieved the status of Master Reining Champion, securing victories at prestigious events such as Timberline’s New Year’s Chaos, TRS Fall Spooktacular 24.2, and TRS Tulsa Reining Classic 24.2. As an Advanced Reining Champion, she has claimed titles at competitions like TRS Halldala Sun Spin 24.1, TRS Kumlegaard Spring Celebration 24.1, and TRS Rein in the Gulf 24.1. Her accomplishments extend to Limited Reining, where she excelled at Rundown the River Week I and Carnation RN 23 1 Slide. She has also proven her abilities in Rookie Reining, winning at Rodney Reiners, Warkworth Reiners, and KawaKawa Reiners. Additionally, her success as a Non-Pro Reining Champion is evident in her triumph at the Stabathon Reining Series I.
Beyond her own achievements, Talawat El Toya’s contribution to the Arabian breed extends to her offspring. While specific details about her progeny are not widely documented, her exceptional pedigree and performance suggest that her descendants carry forward her remarkable traits.
Talawat El Toya’s career and lineage represent the culmination of generations of careful breeding, emphasizing the Arabian horse’s renowned qualities of beauty, endurance, and versatility.
