Zawisza epitomizes the grace, athleticism, and versatility characteristic of her lineage.
With a career spanning both dressage and halter competition, she has earned the prestigious Legion of Masters, a testament to her versatility and excellence. Her pedigree is equally illustrious, carrying the blood of some of the most influential Polish Arabians in history, positioning her as a mare of both competitive and breeding significance.
Zawisza is the epitome of Arabian beauty and functional athleticism. She possesses a finely sculpted head with large, intelligent eyes that reflect both fire and kindness. Her delicately dished profile, small, tapered muzzle, and expressive nostrils speak to the refinement of her breeding. Her long, elegantly arched neck transitions smoothly into well-defined withers, leading to a short, strong back and a deep chest that allows for impressive lung capacity. She is well-balanced, with powerful hindquarters that provide both impulsion and agility. Her limbs are straight and sturdy, marked by clean joints and well-formed hooves, ensuring soundness and endurance. Under saddle, her naturally uphill movement and fluid gaits make her an exceptional dressage prospect, traits that have been instrumental in her competitive success.
Zawisza descends from a lineage of legendary Polish Arabians, inheriting the best attributes of her ancestors. Her sire, Wachlarz, was a paragon of strength and refinement, celebrated for his commanding presence and elastic movement. He was a direct descendant of Banat, one of Poland’s most influential sires. Banat, a striking bay stallion foaled in 1967, was the son of El Azrak and the incomparable Bandola, a mare often referred to as the "Queen of Janów." Banat’s influence on Arabian breeding is profound, known for producing horses of remarkable structure, movement, and performance ability.
On her dam’s side, Zawisza carries the esteemed blood of Edukt, a stallion recognized for his contributions to the Polish breeding program. Edukt was known for his substantial yet refined frame, passing on strength, balance, and a distinguished presence to his progeny. Through this rich tapestry of legendary ancestors, Zawisza inherits a legacy of strength, refinement, and competitive prowess.
Zawisza has built an impressive résumé, excelling in both dressage and halter arenas. In dressage, she has reached the Grand Prix level, an achievement few Arabians attain, demonstrating exceptional trainability, collection, and presence. She has secured multiple Champion titles, including victories at the Summersend Sporthorse Series - February II and CCDF Doha, while also earning Reserve Champion placements at prestigious competitions such as CCDF Crozet and CCDF Segovia. Her mastery in the discipline has earned her a Platinum Medal from the Dressage Federation, affirming her exceptional talent.
In halter competition, Zawisza’s beauty and conformation have been repeatedly recognized. She has been crowned Champion Senior Mare at events such as AHS March Warmup 25.1 and the AHS Souq Waqif International 25.1. Additionally, she has claimed multiple Reserve Champion titles, proving her ability to stand among the breed’s finest representatives. These accolades reflect her harmonious conformation, Arabian type, and undeniable presence in the show ring.
Her bloodlines ensure that she will pass on not only her exquisite conformation and movement but also the intelligence, temperament, and competitive spirit that have defined her career. Whether producing future dressage stars, halter champions, or versatile sport horses, she is a broodmare of rare value, capable of shaping the next generation of Polish Arabians.
Zawisza is a mare of distinction, an exemplar of the Polish Arabian breed in both form and function. Her extraordinary pedigree, combined with her outstanding achievements in competition, establishes her as a true aristocrat of the breed. Whether in the dressage arena, the halter ring, or the breeding barn, she continues to uphold and enhance the legacy of the Arabian horse, cementing her place in history as one of Green Gate Farm’s finest mares.
