Rayat is a captivating mare, exuding an ethereal presence with her kind heart, willing nature, and an effortless grace that enchants all who meet her.
This beautiful and refined straight Egyptian mare comes to us from her breeder, Al Shama Park — a dedicated breeder of Arabian horses regarded for its commitment to producing quality Polish and Egyptian Arabian horses. With her refinement, elegance and gentle nature, Rayat is indeed an exemplary specimen of their Egyptian conservation program and we are thrilled to add her to our collection of Egyptian mares.
Her sire, Wajeeh, is one of Al Shama Park's flagship stallions and is an accomplished and award-winning dressage and western dressage competitor. He has been awarded the Western Dressage Association's Level 5 Champion of 2022 S1 as well as the association's coveted CCWDA Register Of Excellence. Since mastering the western dressage arena, Wajeeh has began his campaign as a mainstream dressage horse. The success of this stallion in these sports is unsurprising however, considering his breeding. Wajeeh hails from some of the best U.S. Egyptian lines, notably line bred to the Crabbet foundation stallion Nazeer through his influential sons Ansata Ibn Halima, Hadban Enzahi and Morafic among several direct daughters. These bloodlines are known for producing beautiful, functional and athletic horses while contributing spirited tempers and prideful presences which often prove suitable for the expressive movements required for dressage.
Rayat's dam, Rahma, is a beautiful and substantial mare who has garnered much success as a dressage horse herself, backed by an equally well-formed and attractive Egyptian pedigree. She has shown successfully at the lower levels with awards such as the Dressage Federation's Second Level Champion of 2022 S1 as well as the governing body's Bronze Medal. Additionally, she has accumulated numerous championships and reserve championships with the Dressage Federation and independently-rated shows.
Rayat is a splendid blend of her parents, possessing the refined head, solid body, good bone, and effortless grace her pedigree would suggest. The functional conformation, expressive movement, and cheerful attitude inherited from her parents has allowed her to excel in dressage herself, already garnering several ribbons against competitors of larger, more traditional warmblood and baroque breeds.
Beyond her own accomplishments, Rayat is also proving to be an outstanding producer. Her foals are consistently showcasing the kindness, intelligence, and trainability that define her bloodline. With their balanced movement and natural elegance, they are poised to carry on her legacy as successful dressage competitors in their own right.
We are thrilled with the potential Rayat continues to demonstrate and eagerly anticipate the impact she will have on our breeding and performance programs. Whether in the dressage arena or as a producer of the next generation of exceptional sport horses, she is an invaluable addition to our program.
