Tall, graceful, and full of attitude, this grand mare is all her pedigree would suggest she is.
Beralka is heavily linebred on both sides of her pedigree to the important Russian stallions Aswan and Nabeg, both known for their excellence as sires and for leaving indelible marks on the mares of Tersk Stud. Aswan produced exotic and refined foals that retained their athleticism, making him a popular sire for show horses including Patron — sire of Padron — and Abdullah. Nabeg produced some of the most important Russian sires such as Menes, Nariadni, Princip, and Tallin.
Beralka's sire, Napevinij is a member of the Aswan sireline and is himself an important individual. He has proven himself as a show horse with several medal wins on the Russian circuit, including Gold Champion and Best in Show at the Russian Championships. He has sired numerous typey and athletic foals for the stud and continues to be a pillar of modern Russian show breeding. Her damsire, the robust Pobeditel, was also a multi-medalist and prominent show horse.
In addition to the prominent male members of her family, she is a direct dam line descendant of the "Queen of Tersk" herself — the great Russian foundation mare, Mammona. Although bred in Poland, Mammona became a pillar of early Russian breeding after she was stolen from the Poles during World War II. She proved to be a very fertile broodmare, producing 18 foals which all proved to be important foundation horses for Tersk stud. Mammona's prowess as a broodmare has allowed her family to become one of the biggest and most universal in Russian breeding.
Beralka's dam, Belianka, has proven to be an excellent representative of Mammona's line. She medaled at the Russian championships as a young horse and has gone on to produce medal winners herself.
Beralka herself is a robust, dependable horse with a lot of substance that we wish to add to our breeding program. She offers a classic pedigree coupled with quality and style. Her offspring are displaying their mother’s hardworking nature and incredible substance, with good minds, good bone, excellent shoulders, legs and hips, all packaged together with fire-breathing, charismatic personalities. We eagerly await her further contributions to our program as one of our flagship broodmares.
