Arslan represents a significant first step in our Akhal-Teke breeding program.

He blends two of our most successful Akhal-Tekes, Gozellik and Aygul, who are both champions in Eventing and exceptional representatives of the breed. Arslan has inherited his parents' grace, athleticism, and correctness, rendering him an important stallion prospect.

With his light, elegant build and distinctive conformation including a tapering face with large, hooded eyes, excellent sloping shoulder and long, lean body, Arslan is an excellent representative of his breed. His exceptional and rare coloring is simply the cherry on top of a supremely-built horse. His action is magnificently free-flowing, gliding and elastic with impressive scope and harmonious balance that serves him well in the three-day events.

These desert-bred attributes come from countless generations of careful breeding. His sire, Bartang, hails from Gurtbil Stud in Russia and is a progenitor of the Boinou line via the Mele Kush subline. The Boinou line is the most predominant lineage within the breed, and for good reason, as the founder Boinou was an outstanding racehorse and exceptional sire. Arslan's exquisite dam also provides a link to the Boinou line as well as the foundation Turkmen mare, Ai-Djamal.

As a show horse, Arslan attacked at full force from the word “go”, having earned his Continental Championship title by the time he reached the Novice level. He remains a confident and dominant presence, commanding attention in the ring and across the course, and of course at home. He is a horse with a high opinion of himself, and although his high-strung personality can cause challenges on the ground, he is a serious competitor with supreme focus and heart.

Our pride continues to grow as Arslan develops into a formidable competitor, rivaling even the success of his parents. We anticipate him to be an important sire of world-class sport horses, with his first foals already showing incredible promise.
